Sustainability

Sustainability is at the heart of what we do, and we are committed to taking small but purposeful steps to reduce our impact and make a positive difference. We work with suppliers that share these values. 

We are a proudly British company sourcing entirely from within the UK, and wherever possible, we use local businesses.  We give back to our community and, in particular are keen to support local charities. Cathy is one of the founders of the Dorothy House Hospice Wellbeing brand, Ubiety.

We only use 100% natural plant wax, which is non-GMO and palm oil-free. Our wax supplier is British Wax, a company that is committed to sustainability. We do not use any paraffin or mineral wax in any of our candles. We use unbleached cotton wicks, and our fragrances are phthalate-free. We have never and we will never test on animals.

We use recyclable glass, and our FSC-certified packaging is fully recyclable. We use NATIVIA®  instead of plastic; this is bio-based and fully compostable within 6 months. In our manufacturing process and warehouse, we use energy from British Gas, which is certified 100% renewable. We were one of the first candlemakers to introduce a slot-in refill service. We also now offer a packaging-free option: our naked candle. 

We are also a member of the SME Climate Hub, now working towards reporting and committed to reducing emissions to net zero by 2040.
